This is a call to all the homies out there. I’m currently in search of a website search engine that will handle PDFs as well as text and HTML, oh and it needs to be free. Currently I have only found ht://Dig that fits the criteria.

Google? Or using the google API?
Already thought abou the Google route, both the search appliance and the API. The API has a limited amount of searches, only does public data and doesn’t run on our server. The appliance is intresting and has potential but not at this time, too much overkill but will definately be revisited in the future.
Another vote for swish-e. I set it up here in about ten minutes to dig into .pdf’s.
