Catch Me If You Can

Saw Catch Me If You Can today. I’m usually one to like Tom Hanks movies and this one was no different even if the character was a bit of an odball, the FBI agent tracking down Frank. Now with Dicrapo I’m usually on the thumbs down side, his characters usually are the weakest points of his movies, but Catch Me was an exception. Maybe Frank, the kid who inpersonated pilots, doctors and lawyers in a massive check fraud scheme, was really just very much DiCapro playing himself. All in all it was an enjoyable flick. I would give it a thumbs up for a matinee.

Some better late than never resolutions for the new year, in no paticular order:

  • Keep a diary, old school style
  • Read more
  • Walk more
  • Get up earlier, go to bed earlier
  • Write more
  • Be more financially responsible
  • Buy less stuff
  • Be more social in the real world
  • Date
  • Improve my work ethic
  • Create more
  • Get reinvolved with social justice locally
  • Figure out
    What Should I Do With My Life?    , maybe read the book and start reading more books
  • Continue being a non smoker, had first I really hate cigaretes moment over xmas holidays

I say Hear Hear, go read Now Corporations Claim The “Right To Lie”. It is not bad enough that they lie to thier owners, share holders, but now they want the “right” to lie to us all.

I say Hear Hear, go read Now Corporations Claim The “Right To Lie”. It is not bad enough that they lie to thier owners, share holders, but now they want the “right” to lie to us all.

New Job and Moving

I have a new job. I’ll be the computer dude in residence for the horse feed company I worked for 5 years ago. Since they are located in Versailles, in the middle of horse country, I’ll be living in Lexington and moving this weekend. One definate positive aside, other than the paycheck, will be getting DSL instead of this crappy dialup.

Request For Info: Organ Donation/Recipient

One of my parent’s next door neighbors, John, is in need of an organ transplant. His liver stopped working last week. Now things get a little worse see, in Ohio in order to get on a liver organ transplant list one has to have been in Alcoholic Anonymous for at least 2 years on top of the fiscally able to pay for the procedure and anti rejection medication for the rest of his life and proving that his imedate and extended family will provide enough support for long term survival. Now in John’s case they think the liver problem was not caused by alcohol but is heredity, which also means that family partial donors are probably a no go, regardless the 2 years of AA is required.
Given it all John’s options don’t look good so the family has asked me to look around for more options and I you. I have been doing some net searching but if anyone has or finds more info please comment, mail me or say a prayer.
