Call me crazy, but I am just a sucker for photorealistic icons that OSX allows. God, it just makes the whole experience so much more pleasant.
I was using ObjectDesktop with the ObjectDock the other day (OD tries to replicate OSX functionality, Dock, etc.). It was a miserable experience, if nothing else because the default icons for Windows are so. ungodly. horrible.
The Gnome icons Russ posted are really good, but they just aren’t photorealistic enough for me…. they still feel “icon-y”
