WW3

“Joke” passed along

President Bush, Donald Rumsfeld and Colin Powell are sitting in a bar.A
guy walks in and asks the bartender, “Isn’t that Bush, Rumsfeld and
Powell sitting over there?” Bartender says, “Yep, that’s them.” So the guy
walks over and says, “Wow, this is a real honor. What are you guys
doing in here?” President Bush says, “We’re planning WWIII.” And the guy
says, “Really? What’s going to happen?” Rumsfeld says, “Well, we’re going
to kill 25 million Iraqis this time and one bicycle repairman.” The guy
exclaimed, “A bicycle repairman? Why kill a bicycle repairman?” Bush
turns to Powell, punches him on the shoulder and says, “See, smartass? I
told you no one would worry about the 25 million Iraqis.”

Fozbaca Loves You

To ya’ll out there a big wet kiss. Have a good Valentine’s Day. For all that don’t have a Valentine, like myself, may next year be different.

Be Healthy, Don’t Eat Less

Chewing Out the Food Industry

Pork-barrel politics are nothing new to Marion Nestle. When she moved to Washington, D.C., in 1986 to help craft the first Surgeon General’s Report on Nutrition and Health, she was told point-blank that the report could not recommend that Americans eat less meat, sugar, or–for that matter–any other food.

Altoids has a $10-million-a-year advertising budget. That’s five times what the National Cancer Institute and the Produce for Better Health Foundation spend to encourage consumers to eat five fruits and vegetables a day.

Goes along with a story several Nutritionists told me. On the first day of classes during orientation they were told that unless there was a direct imediate medical need that all diets were to have red meat in them. Oh, and the biggest donar to the department was a Cattle group.
