The Comic Book Reader allows you to view scanned comic books on your computer. The comic book is scanned and saved as Jpegs and are numbered in order starting from 00.jpg. You are able to browse for your folder containing the specific comic book you want to read within the application. Also, the application loads a brief description of the comic you are about to read from a stored text file in the specific comic book folder, so you don’t have to remember or search the Internet for a description. The application loads the cover of the comic book as the background each time you open a comic book folder. This application utilizes the Adobe Air File class. The File class contains the code to open a browse window native to the operating system, in this specific browse window to select directories/folders only. Once a folder is selected, the file names are loaded into array and the first page of the comic book (generally the cover of the book) is loaded first on the screen. To go the next or

Phi, the Fibonacci sequence, the golden ratio, the golden section, the golden mean, the divine proportion. It’s known as many things, but the ratio they all refer to is the same, 1 : 1.61803399…
Found in art, architecture, design, and most intriguingly, in nature, this ratio has been used throughout history and today for its aesthetic beauty.
Phiculator (pronounced "fye·cu·la·tor") is a simple tool which, given any number, will calculate the corresponding number according to the golden ratio. Useful to anyone wishing to create anything with divine proportions! -
On this page we meet some of the marvellous flat (that is, two dimensional) geometry facts related to the golden section number Phi. A following page turns our attention to the solid world of 3 dimensions.

The BDC DrillDown Menu is a compact, hierarchical drilldown menu implemented as a jQuery plugin. A drilldown menu takes up constant space like an accordian menu but offers the deep hierarchy of a flyout menu at the same time. Because of this, it not only features a small footprint but is also easier to navigate than a flyout menu, where more mouse movement and accuracy is required. DDMenu turns a standard HTML list into a dynamic JavaScript drilldown menu that maintains a small profile no matter how deep the hierarchy it controls. This is quite similar (though with more features) to the menu used in the iPod.

The Japanese saw or nokogiri (鋸?) used in woodworking and Japanese carpentry differs from its European counterpart since it cuts on the pull stroke as opposed to the push stroke. This allows it to have thinner blades that cut more efficiently and leave a narrower cut width (kerf). Push-saws require a thick blade to remain rigid. Otherwise, the blade would flex wildly as the craftperson pushed on the handle, instead of cutting. A pull-saw, on the other hand, is under tension rather than compression during cutting. Therefore there is no stiffness requirement, and the blade can be much thinner.

A number of researchers now argue that talent means nothing like what we think it means, if indeed it means anything at all. A few contend that the very existence of talent is not, as they carefully put it, supported by evidence. In studies of accomplished individuals, researchers have found few signs of precocious achievement before the individuals started intensive training. Similar findings have turned up in studies of musicians, tennis players, artists, swimmers, mathematicians, and others.

The Print Gocco was developed specifically as a "kitchen table printer." In its home country, it's been so popular over its three-decade life that it's estimated that one-third of Japanese households own one. (That would put it on par with things like toaster ovens and sewing machines in the US.)

Photo journalist following Obama.
"Unlike many of the politicians I have photographed in the past, I find it is easy to get a photograph of Obama alone. He lets his staff do their jobs and not fuss over him."
"He is used to taking care of things himself and I think this is one of the qualities that makes Obama different from so many other political candidates I've encountered." -
No one reads on the internet anymore. Right? Time and time again it is proven that we just skim and scan, eyes darting around like a chicken with its head cut off. When are we as web workers going to fully recognize that?
