It seems like Web developers would have less trouble supporting standards if they didn’t insist that their sites look absolutely identical on every browser. Consider this site; it renders correctly (yet differently) in every browser I’ve seen with no workarounds, because my definition of correct rendering is reasonable. Maybe we’ll have to wait for the print designers to die off.

I can’t agree more, though tiggersol will probably disagree. I just find so little of the “it has to be just like this” camp’s work all that useful, or even good looking design.
