I must be a total loser for finding and thinking this on a friday evening, but look at the sexy diff screenshot in Eclipse.

Not at all. It’s one of the coolest things about Eclipse. When I’m trying to convert coworkers to use it instead of other tools, it’s one of the first things I show them. “Hey check out this CVS integration, cool huh? Now watch this… wanna see how easy it is to track changes?” Works like a charm.
