Geez, it sounds like the guys at Salon don’t know what they are talking about. I mean, let’s face it, SSI is just THE only way to make a web site because it leverages already-known techniques. Just because you can do this, “separate data from presentation” hocus pocus doesn’t mean that you need a CMS. Gosh darn it, if you want to change the look-and-feel of your web site, then you should have to change EVERY PAGE to make sure it works. CMS is just garbage.
Oh, and use CSS because it is new and cool.
