I’m not usually a reader of Zeldman, like Darren, but Sooz mentioned him over the weekend. Good thing he has something to say on a topic egnel and I end up discussing.

If teachers and janitors and policemen and art directors live in a world where actions have consequences, shouldn’t companies be held to the same rules?

Why do companies get the some of the benefits, via the 14th Amendment, of being a person without the penalities? When a person preforms a crime they can recieve punishment, companies get a slap on the wrist if that. The situation is even worse for government sanctioned monoplies. Has anyone out there really been happy with their phone or cable service? Didn’t have much of a choice they were probably the only player in your area.
