  2. Who is your least favorite? Michael Jackson
  3. Have you ever met or seen any celebrities in real life? Yes, Tori Amos after she played at the Singletary Center back in '97. The biggest shocker, other than actually getting to meet her, was how short she is. Even with her massively high heels she still didn't come up to my shoulders.
  4. Would you want to be famous? Why or why not? To a point being famous could be fun. Part of the valus of celebrity is the "currency" one can cash in on because of celebritydome. (engel might remember that conversation)

Friday Five: Phones

  1. Do you like talking on the phone? Why or why not? Don't like talking on the phone. There is something missing without seeig the person one is talking with. I have heard that 70% of communication is actually visual.
  2. Who is the last person you talked to on the phone? Brian with Rise Consulting. A monitor go tie die and needed warrenty information.
  3. About how many telephones do you have at home? 2
  4. Have you encountered anyone who has really bad phone manners? What happened? Yes, every telemarketer. I hand up.
  5. Would you rather pick up the phone and call someone or write them an e-mail or a letter? Why or why not? It all depends on the person.

Friday Five: Elections

  1. Did you vote in your last elections? Yes
  2. Do you know who your elected representatives are? None personally but most of them, or the ones I voted for, yes.
  3. Have you ever contacted an elected representative? If so, what was it about? Yes. Lots of different reasons. Some were trying to get me to vote for them, one was trying to get me to read more, one even wanted me to get him a beer :)
  4. Have you ever participated in a demonstration? Yes
  5. Have you ever volunteered in an election? What was the result? Kinda. Once I was the driver for several poll workers. Clinton won the first presidenial election and I got 3 write in votes for president.

Friday Five: Religion

  1. Were you raised in a particular religious faith? Raised Roman Catholic. Even spent 8 years going to a Catholic elementary and middle school.

  2. Do you still practice that faith? Why or why not? Not currently practicing. There is no longer anything intresting to my spiritual or socail development occuring at any of the Catholic churches in the area.
  3. What do you think happens after death? I'm not really sure. One of those subconcious tests said that I thought the afterlife existed and was just a place of great peace.
  4. What is your favorite religious ritual (participating in or just observing)? Confession, though strangely I have not participated in it for years. I think the draw is that the concept of total forgiveness just totally rocks.
  5. Do you believe people are basically good? I believe our default state is neither inheriently good nor evil.

Friday Five: Halloween

  1. What is your favorite scary movie? Alien
  2. What is your favorite Halloween treat? The crappy bubble gum that starts tasting bad after the chewing begins.
  3. Do you dress up for Halloween? If so, describe your best Halloween costume. I have in the past. The Halloween spent as the evil stepsister, wig and dress included. If not that then the year as a hippie wearing a normal outfit.
  4. Do you enjoy going to haunted houses or other spooky events? Sometimes, they really are not much fun without some cuttie to grap onto your arm everytime they get spooked.
  5. Will you dress up for Halloween this year? Not sure. Might get the dummy outside's costume to scare the trick or treaters.

Friday Five: Relaxiation

  1. What are your favorite ways to relax and unwind? Taking a walk or doing the dishes, I'm strange that way.
  2. What do you do the moment you get home from work/school/errands? Change clothes or go to the bathroom.
  3. What are your favorite aromatherapeutic smells? Vanilla
  4. Do you feel more relaxed with a group of friends or hanging out by yourself? Usually more relaxed by myself, though some types of hanging out is better.
  5. What is something that you feel is relaxing but most people don't? Doing the dishes.

Friday Five: School

  1. What was/is your favorite subject in school? Why? Math, Computer Science mostly because they were problem solving types of classes and thus not boring.
  2. Who was your favorite teacher? Why? Mrs. Smith, Computer Science teacher in High school. She just continually went above and beyond the job to do what students needed.
  3. What is your favorite memory of school? Having a "first kiss" at a school dance while Moni Moni as preformed by Billy Idol played and students sang the alternative lyrics. It was just such a surreal experience.
  4. What was your favorite recess game? Climbing the flag pole or the school.
  5. What did you hate most about school? Most of the other kids, spent most of school thinking I was one sentence away from getting beat up.

Friday Five: The Car

  1. Do you have a car? Yep, '95 Cavalier.
  2. Do you drive very often? Probably every couple of days. Though I really like the road trips.
  3. What's your dream car? Probabay a 60's Mustang, preferably a rag top.
  4. Have you ever received a ticket? Yep, 2 of them. First one was the notorious speed trap between Lexington and Louisville. Second was the car dieing and haveing one last burst of speed right infront a State Trooper.
  5. Have you ever been in an accident? Yep again. 3 while driving and 1 as a passanger.

Friday Five: The Ancestors

  1. What is your lineage? Where are your ancestors from? All German except 1 great grandmother who was Irish.
  2. Of those countries, which would you most like to visit? Germany, most ofthe family was from the relatively same area.
  3. Which would you least like to visit? Why? Well I would like to visit Ireland too, so I would not least like to visit either :)
  4. Do you do anything during the year to celebrate or recognize your heritage? Well not specifically but I do like to goto Octoberfeists and have a good brawtwurst and beer.
  5. Who were the first ancestors to move to your present country (parents, grandparents, etc)? On one side of the faimly I think it wa the great grand parents. On the other I think it goes back as far as 13 generations.

Friday Five: Living Situation

  1. Do you live in a house, an apartment or a condo? Anapartment til next week then a house.
  2. Do you rent or own? Rent for now.
  3. Does anyone else live with you? Currently must myself.
  4. How many times have you moved in your life? 11 times, but only once before before my 18th birthday.
  5. What are your plans for this weekend? Finish getting everything ready to move.

Friday Five: Laundry Days

  1. How often do you do laundry? Once every 2-3 weeks.
  2. What's in a typical wash load? Typically clothes, ocasionally bed sheets and towles when I think about it.
  3. Front or top loader? Powder or liquid detergent? The washer is a top loader at the apartment. Use the cubed powder detergent.
  4. Do you use fabric softener in the rinse cycle? Have not ever used fabric softener, would probably put it in at the wrong time if I did.
  5. Dryer or clothesline? Dryer, but parents used to have a clothes line at the first house.

Friday Five: Dreams

  1. What's the last vivid dream that you remember having? This morning. I was hicking on some Kentucky coal roads with my dad. We ended up at a little town on the top of one of the hills which was where I lived.
  2. Do you have any recurring dreams? Back in elementary school, 4th grade I think but definately sometime after The Empire Strikes Back came out, there was this dream that kept picking up where I last remembered. The just of the dream is that my class were all children of the Rebel Aliance members that were captured at the Battle of Hoth. We were all in a "re-education school." Most of the substance was things what were soposed to turn us and us fighting back.
  3. What's the scariest nightmare you've ever had? When Wookies attacked. Probably the Star Wars Christmas Special to blame for this one. But I was crash landed on a planet, the Wookie homeworld, and being chased by all these wookies. The worst part what when I went back to sleep it just picked right up being chased by Wookies. I think that was when my first round of insomnia began.
  4. Have you ever written your dreams down or considered it? Why or why not? Have kept a dream journal, did for several years. Even tried to analys them.
  5. Have you ever had a lucid dream? What did you do in it? Have had lots of them. One that I remember involved flying through the neighborhood I grew up in. blue version

  3. When was the last time you got your hair cut? June of 2000

  5. What's your worst hair-related experience? When I cut my own bangs, around 8 years old.

  1. What are your hobbies? Pencil and paper Role Playing Games, most recently the Star Wars RPG from the 80's.
  2. Do you collect anything? Used to collect books and RPG stuff. Now just download it all.
  3. Is there a hobby you're interested in, but just don't have the time/money to do? I have always wanted tp play the guitar but never really pursued it.
  4. Have you ever turned a hobby into a moneymaking opportunity? Well all my playing with puters has certianly helped in the job market.
  5. Besides web-related stuff (burbs, rings, etc.), what clubs do you belong to? Currently don't belong to any clubs. Used to back in the high school and college days.

  1. What's your favorite TV show and why? Babylon 5, because it told one awesome story.
  2. Who is your favorite television star? Alan Alda, all because of M*A*S*H.
  3. What was your favorite TV show as a child? Really depends on how much of a child. First was Starblazers around 6-7, then around 8 it was M*A*S*H then before hishschool it was Robotech.
  4. What show do you think should have been cancelled by now? X-Files, years ago
  5. What new show do you hope escapes the axe this season? Futurama, it has already been canceled but one can hope.

Friday Five: Routines

  1. What are the first things that you do in the morning to start your day? Wake up? No real ritual other than a cup of coffee when I get a chance.
  2. What are the last things that you do at night before going to bed? Brush teeth, brush hair guess that is about it.
  3. What daily routine have you recently added to your day? Job search
  4. What routine do you wish you get rid of? Not having to job search
  5. What's the one thing that makes you feel like something is missing if you don't do it some point within your day? Go back to sleep.
friday five Answers would have been different if I was still smoking. Lots of the day's happenings were effected by the cancer sticks.

Friday Five: Seasons

  1. What is your favorite time of year? Spring
  2. What is it about your favorite season that, well, makes it your favorite season? It might be the whole spring is the earth's in rebirth. It could be Easter being a happy time. Maybe because of the rain, I just really like it when it rains. Or even more maybe because of my birthday, April 3. Through I don't usually like my birthday so the probably isn't it.
  3. What is your least favorite time of year? Why? The hottest times of summer. Ya now then just breathing outside is opressive, more so back in Kentucky than in British Columbia.
  4. Do you do anything to celebrate or recognize the changing of seasons? I get an extra hour of sleep when fall hits and lose an hour when spring hits. But I guess neither is a celebration.
  5. What's your favorite thing to do outside? Being on or near the water.
